| A large number of kids from my School go to Sandhurst every year (what with the school being set up to provide for the sons of dead officers of the Crimea (and onwards) and all that)..
Most are now earning huge amounts in the Private Sector in Saudi.
Highly posh and well mannered to a man.

| The half dozen or so from my year who went to Sandhurst I'd describe as upper class already.

| Really? Most of them from our place were sons of Officers, so not really Upper Class, but well bred and following fathers (family) footsteps.
The really upper class lot went straight into a decent uni and then onwards into the city.

| Pretty much the other way round at mine. The upper class lot mostly go to Sandhurst, serve for a while, then manage the family estates and so forth.
Sons of officers like myself do the uni option.
Although obviously there are exceptions.

| Wealth really isnt' relevant tbh but 'lots more than the natioanl average /= upper class imo, especially asit's far lower than many other jobs.
Cabinet ministers have the power to change lives yet they're not upper class.
Saying 'I'm a lawyer

| I really don't think saying one is a policeman carries prestige.
