Why do people want to stand? Its sh!t, I pay a lot of money to see football and its not so much to ask to have a seat ffs. What do you do at halftime when you want to sit down with your bovril and read your programme? Its no the 70's
| That's your choice. I prefer to stand. I pay £650 for my season ticket & I think I should be given the choice. As it is I stand for the majority of games anyway & so it's not much of a problem.
I enjoyed pre-season so much because I got to stand at the games. Even stood for about 50 minutes at the Charity Shield.
European aways are awesome too as you get to stand there. Standing in the third tier of the San Siro is something everybody should get to experience  </BLOCKQUOTE>
well i like to sit, if anything i think they should make the seats bigger ffs for 700 pound, with a drinks holder. standing is archaic. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Went to Fulham a few ago which was standing and it was horrible. Not sure if it was just because it was a one off but everyone was going ott.
Might die down if it's a regualr thing though. Not sure whether any proposals will just have a general standing area or just allow fans to stand in their seats, which would be safer.
I'd like an official explanation as to how standing in your seat is deemed a safety hazard, especially since most of the ground is on their feet after a goal.

Manchester has the lowest life expectancy in England so you'll never get to see 70

| Onlytimes I have seen stewards getting arsey (& rightly so) is when gangways & exits are being blocked by people standing. I think the problem with people standing in their seats is that people behind the mare sitting & so cannot see.

Well I have no problem with standing in designated areas but aslong as it doesn't encourage other twats to start standing infront of me then i see no problem.
