Couldnt care about the total of points but like the achievements in the sense of you know what you have completed in the game.

Probably my greatest achievement on my 360 to date.

I did read somewhere can't remember where but microsoft have set some basic rules now so that the games producers have to stick to regarding achievement points so that no more games are insanely easy like CSI and NBA 2k6.

Could not care less about my total points, but I do get happy when I unlock an achievement simply because its so rare

Only have around 1500 I think, a lot of that coming from pro evo.

I like getting them but won't try and get crappy games just for points or even play the games i already have searching for points that i have not got.

Currently I am doing my best to rack up the PGR4 achievements, to date though this is the only time I have ever actively went for them, in the past if I get them its a nice surprise because its purely luck or through my normal on-line play.

Would never buy or even rent a game to try and up my gamer score but can see why some people get into it.

If you play a game enough, you will get all the achievements. For example, me with Gears of War.

Achievements are good and add some replayability for me, couldnt care less about the points though.

But in that case, "enough" was 10,000 kills, which is just INSANE. My current total of online kills is zero, although I only had the game for 2 days before getting rid of it.

Mind you, it's certainly not the stupidest achievment ever... that award goes to the achievements in Ghost Recon for being #1 on all the world leaderboards.

thats fine nothing wrong with that, same with people picking up certain weapons just to get that weapon achievement. Not something i would do but if people want to play that way fine. although its really annoying people moaning on ranked because they want that weapon to get an achievement or not bothering to revive you as they already have those points.

i don't get people playing through a game just searching for points though especially a game they don't like.
