Salad cream is vile.
Brown sauce is for bacon sandwiches only.
Ketchup should only be used in the following meals:
Fried Breakfast (provided it is kept away from the eggs)
Sausages and Mash
Shepherd's/ Cottage Pie
Although my favourite use of ketchup is as a glaze for oven cooking sausages.
5 x table spoons of Ketchup
1 x table spoon honey
Few dashes of Worchestershire Sauce
Few dashes of Soy Sauce
Few dashes of tabasco
mix and then pour over the sausages.

Remember when Salad Cream went missing for months a few years back?
I'm sure Docker will explain the clever marketing involved.

Probably a supply issue rather than a marketing ploy.
Rarely is a product removed entirely unless for problems with the brand (eg bad batch/ new recipe).

iirc they announced they were no longer going to produce it... cue huge outcry, heinz finally relenting and what do you know, on it's return a massive sale increase of Salad Cream against sales before it went off the shelves.

Yes, my Mum told me about this whole Salad Cream thing ages back and she even brought a bottle to keep in the cupboard (on top of the 'usual' bottle) for prosperity !
I did smell a marketing ploy

Of course it couldn't. It's only available with beans. :p
