Depends how much he wants to spend really.
May be easier just paying someone to come and put one up for him. The equipment I use to align a rig costs well over a grand so it is a little more than just pointing it roughly otherwise you end up with ghosting etc.
It could be pointed anywhere to be honest. I've just a quick look at just digital transmitters and theres a few round there so no idea how many analogue ones there are.
