We're the third most successful club in Scotland. Fortunately, we are entirely free of sectarian issues that blight this country. The club is a family club traditionally, and we have among the most loyal support in the country.
We've been through a transitional period in the last few years. The end of the 90's and beginning of the 00's was one of the least successful in Aberdeen's history, but in the last few seasons we have emerged as a challenger for European competition every year.
The club is still doing badly financially, and the UEFA cup is seen more as a cash cow than anything more. Still, the team has been on a run of good form lately, especially after the result against Dnipro, and will be confident I'd think, of sneaking a win and maybe a couple of draws in the group stage.
