And our internet cable line is blocked because of that. We also don't have a chance of getting ADSL since we don't have a BT line *which costs £125 to open* without the monthly line rental.
I called Virgin media customer service and told them the guy was an international student and left the country without paying his final bill *£144*, and because we shared the house last year, I have to pay for it *apparently their research shows that 9 in every 10 students share internet*.. well it is true in this case.. but still.
I was paying him my share of the bill in cash and he paid by direct debit.
Has anyone experienced this before and how did you sort it out?
A BT connection does cost that much Oz, an advisor told me that they disconnect lines which are unactive for 3 months, so for an engineer to activate it again, it will cost £125.. and I'm not in a financial position to pay for that.
I'll call tomrrow and tell them I just moved to the house last month and that I don't know anything about the previous tenants..
I think the 3G service would be too slow to be shared by 3 housemates.
