have traveled around the country a wee bit over the years & sampled some local food.
however i always like to come home to some traditional scottish nosh ie black pudding tattie scones haggis etc.
so was just wondering what do you crave to get back for when you been away from your part of the country for a while?
Luckily there's a 'proper' cafe/greasy spoon just around the corner from my new job. Not tried it out yet, save for a cup of tea on the day of my interview, but I will do before too long.
I crave the sweet taste of Condorrats Meet thing shop which I cannot remember the name of (in Cumbernauld) Steak Pie, potatoes, peas, gravy and Aunt Betsies Yorkshire Puddings..
Correct me if I'm wrong, but tatties is literally mashed potato isn't it? Scones are hardly a Scottish thing, nor is black pudding. Which part of the country didn't serve any of these?
I'll give you haggis though. Offal served in an offal bag. I won't be eating that when I go to Edinburgh.
Don't care at all for German food tbh. Better than anything British but still miles away from many other local food I've tasted over the years. Brazilian cuisine has been a bit of a letdown tho.
