Have just been out and about on a reccy in SE Northumberland today with a couple of lads. Looked at an old WWII bunker amongst other things.

isn't urban exploring where you go rooting round closed down buildings ? Was looking at some stuff like that where people had gone into old factories and stuff.

Seem to remember going on that 28 days later site looking at Chernoybl photos when i tried persuading one of the mates he wanted to go with me.

| Yup - pretty much. There's so much old stuff out there, that it's not just restricted to factories, etc. The intention is just to go and have a look, not to steal anything. More to record through reports/photos - particularly useful if said building is to be redeveloped.

| Yup - I think there's a thread on there, where some lads were trying to organise a visit. Not sure if it got beyond planning though.
Some lads take it very seriously. I'm more into it out of curiousity and an interest in local history, particularly coal mines (surprisingly enough  )
