Hi all, I want to buy a Playstation 3 a.s.a.p but I had a question? I am living in Canada right now and am in my last year of uni, and I want to buy the PS3 now. However, as of September 2008 I will be in England and the whole summer in between I will be in continental Europe. If I buy the PS3 in Canada, will I be able to play it in England and in continental Europe? Will I just have to plug it in to a transformer or something? Plus, I presume I will subsequently have to buy games from the North America region only...
Any help would be most welcome! My European uni mates and I are dying to play Pro Evo for hours on end.
Huys anybody? I actually want to put an online order for the PS3 now, and this is very important for me.. All the regions and various electricity variations around the world have me confused!

You can play it in Europe and the UK as far as I know. The plug thing you'll also need but I don't know why you are buying games from North America? Can't you buy games from any country and it works?

you will need to buy a 'superconductormegatron' {dont bother looking on the net for what it is, I invented it last week}
so anyway, with the SCM, you can plug it in any country, just select the country and it transforms to fit the outlet.
You can email me as I have 5 left before I re order, I am selling them for $50, but for you, special price of $45.
cheers
Well in that case I would be very interested. As I do not know much about these things, why do I need this SCM? Is it because the electrical demand on a PS3 is so high that a simple transformer would burn the fuses/sockets? And is it easy to use the SCM? Is it simply a matter of plugging it in at the back and that's that or are there additional concerns?
Lastly, would I need one or 2 versions to play this game in England and Greece?

it works with any version in any country and it adjusts the power so it doesnt burn out when you tell it to change shape it does with a push of a button.
1. Yes, you can use your PS3 anywhere in Europe. All you need is a power converter (an adaptor that goes onto your plug) that can be bought at your local electrical store. Get a multi adaptor that covers the two main types of European current, i.e. the two pronged 220v for mainland Europe, and the three pronged 240(?)v for the UK.
2. PS3 games are region free and games can therefore be purchased from anywhere. Find the cheapest online store with a good reputation, and then buy what you want.
