The last thing I'd have wanted was the police round my house

But I lived 20 miles from the attack anyway.

Surely in the UK it'd be maximum effort to get them - there they are, you have descriptions, make, model, colour and registration of car - everything you want. Would the action be to wait for the person reporting the attack to make their way home or to the station before going out hunting?

Lower taxes on petrol, fags and booze, yes. Not bloody anywhere else.

Mind, I'm quite happy with the situation described there :thup:
