This version is quite literally a glorified data update so I wont be buying it.

Aside from that I think FM in general requires too much time to play nowadays, many of the features (media, teamtalks) added over the last couple of years havent been implemented properly and there is an over emphasis on tactics.

Not really anymore, completely fallen out of love with it.

Well, perhaps that's a bit strong, it just doesn't hold my attention anymore and I just don't bother with it.

I would have to say the fact I have a job where I work shifts gives me little chance to get into it as it's the sort of game I have to play for a good few hours at a time.

The fact I have a job at all puts paid to me playing it anymore if I'm honest.

Played 1 season on FM07 then just never had the can't wait to get my second season started feeling and now that was so long ago that I'd forget who my best players were etc.

I don't see myself buying FM08 which will be the first one I've missed since 02/03 season

I don't think I have the time neither. I used to like the more basic elements to CM01/02.I think thats what makes me go back time and time again. I would rather read the text and picture goals myself instead of watching them. Also I got less frustrated 'reading' a mistake from defenders as opposed to actually seeing it. FM looks like a quality game but no matter how hard I try I can't seem to keep playing it.

I still play FM07, but I can't really say it's all that enjoyable.

I play more through loyalty and habit than anything else, and even when I go on a good run I'm waiting for the inveitable moment when some bug or ridiculous tactical/morale/defensive line issue screws me over. If my current save were to be lost or corrupted, I wouldn't start a new one, and I have no interest in buying FM08 until the initial bugs are ironed out - if at all.

Haven't played it since FM 2006 and even then, I couldn't find the drive to complete a single season :o Would be nice if I could somehow reignite my interest in the franchise.

still play 01/02 constantly. dipped into FM05 i think it was (whichever was the earliest incarnation), played about a season and a half and couldn't get into it at all.

Currently in 2030 with Blyth Spartans on FM07, so yes, I play it.

As for FM08, initially I thought there weren't enough improvements to interest me. However after playing that for a good while I've tried going back to 07 and I miss a lot of the stuff they've added. Got 08 on pre-order and am sure I'll get my £17.99's worth from it.

Can't be bothered anymore. Maybe if I hadn't got the lure of the internet in the background I would play.

couldn't go back to 01/02, much as i loved it at the time - tried last year and there's just no depth to it (in comparison to FM), instantly got completely bored.

fm08 seems to be getting a slating, i'm fairly optimistic though. not really seeing all these flaws with it that people are going on about - couple of (admittedly crucial) tweaks to the match engine and there's a great little game there.

Bloody hell. I'd forgot that for over a decade I used to play it in fullscreen with no internet to use while it did it's thing. I'd last literally five minutes nowadays if I had to go back to that.
