Default very quick betting question

I have just stuck £20 on the england russia match for a mate, should the odds be written on the slip or is that just for racing???

I always write the odds on the slip, thought it was necessary...

It may not be, if the cashier didnt tell you however.

Unless its a bet where the odds are likely to change then no it doesn't really matter

I ususally ask the cashier to write the odds on for me

Better to write the odds on the slip, then when the cashier puts it through they will normally sign it. That would confirm they are the odds you are getting.
However say Russia's captain pulls out with injury in the warm up and England odds go down, you will be given the shorter odds that were available right up until kick off.

Shouldn't matter as most football betting is done on a fixed odds basis.

Makes paying attention to team news very important as a late injury could make what is normally considered a long shot very good value for money.
