Default England Under 21s

Did anybody go to watch our u21s play Montenegro on Friday? I went to watch at the Walkers Stadium and Fabrice Muamba was terrible!
If this is more or less the future England team and they don't improve pretty damn soon, we can say bye-bye to winning the World Cup again!

Did anybody else go/watch on telly?

Christ, comparing the Under 21's to the First Team so soon?

Milner and Huddlestone should be given a chance FYI

Milner,Walcott,Huddlestone and Derbyshire are a few exceptions but I don't understand why Derbyshire got man of the match; apart from his goal he hardly showed up.

Does anyone know how old Milner is because I didn't think he was under 21?

Whats the point of having a 23 year old in a under 21s team? Kinda defeats the object really..

Its something to do with being Under 21 at the start of the qualifying or something daft like that.

If a player is U21 at the start of the qualifying then they are able to play in the actual competition if the team qualifies, this means that players can be 22 or 23 and still be eligible for the U21 side.

from any given under 21 squad, how many players do you exactly expect to end up international level? not many.

especially given that anyone who's extra special won't last long before getting a call up to the main squad
