England not being there will increase my interest as it means that we will get half time analysis at half time, not what did Steven Gerrard have for breakfast? We won't have the inevitable comparisons of every team to England and we won't have the whole bullshit surrounding it from people convincing themselves that England actually have the quality to win the tournament.
hth.

I'll still watch it as I'm a football fan, not a glory hunting England fan.
| Woah woah woah now. Watch any game from any competition in the past ten years or so, and there'll pretty much always be an England flag or English club related banner somewhere in the ground regardless of who's playing. Euro 2008 will be the same.

Etcheverry getting massively talked up by the commentators for most of the first game, strolling off the bench and getting sent off within minutes. Great stuff.

Although I'm Welsh, I do tend to support England in the major tournaments, but it will be fb if they don't qualify. Basically for the reasons that poyplemonkeys gave.
Maybe the tv channels can actually focus on what's going on in other groups, and what other teams are playing well for a change. As opposed to how the mood is in the england camp, and how far their families are staying from the grounds etc
