hmmm, not sure if I should pick up CK, EU2 or EU3 from ebay. Will get one of them tonight. Not really interested in HofI.

EU 2 is the safest bet I guess. A bit dated now - but CK is no better in terms of looks. Advantage of EU2 is that you have years of mods development invested in it.

I haven't got EUIII yet... I keep eyeing it up though. Now CKV is out, it'll be on the backburner again.

I've been playing this for about an hour now, top stuff so far :thup:

The new friends and rivals system is great. I've just seen the Dukes of Lancaster and Northumbria, who are both friends and rivals of the King, co-ordinate their rebelions together and declare independence at the same time. I currently seem to be making friends with other disloyal counts and rivals of the King so can see a little rebelion of my own coming along soon :thup:

Very pleased with it so far. The ledger is really useful as it was a woeful oversight in the original game.

Haven't had the opportunity to play too much tonight but I'm sure I'll address that over the coming months/years!

Well, my copy of EU (£0.01 plus £2 postage) arrived today. No instruction booklet though so I hope that the in-game tutorials are up to speed.

Is it worth starting with the (patched) boxed version or should I go directly to AGCEEP?
