Do it!!
The game can be downloaded from Paradox's website for about £10 too. This will be the only way to get hold of the expansion pack too.
The expansion pack will hopefully deal with some of the flaws in the game.

I love CK , only the invasion of Europe by the mongols has to be fixed. I am a little disappointed by Paradox in the monent though, because EU III was a big letdown and i got banned from the forums for saying O`Reilly behaves like a nazi on OT.

Oh Really?
I didn't buy EUIII in the end. Might get it when it's really bargain basement. What was wrong with it btw - why was it disappointing?

| AI is just awful, only caring for its armies and always on a conquering spree. Massive blobification. NA sorted out some issues but not the major one. Modders did a great job with Magna Mundi, but there are massive flaws in the Paradox code of the main game that are spoilers for people who loved EU II. Vanilla plays like Civ not like EU.

Hmmmm. Paradox have always published games that didn't pander to the masses... they found a niche in the market for innovation - so it's quite worrying if they're falling into the trap of trying to make their games too accessible.

You are so right, i think EU III was a slap in the face of the average Paradox games player.

Not unlike Creative Assembly I suppose. The first two TW games were more along the Europa Universalis lines in terms of the campaign - now we have the cartoon campaign.

How many Welsh Quote: |
The main thrust is to generate more power for your dynasty. Europe is broken down into hundreds of provinces (virtually every historical country in England is individually represented) and these can form part of Counties, Dukedoms and Kingdoms - with a feudal hierarchy
|
Who gives a rats about the English, are there any Welsh on there too? Might get it if there are.

Yes, the Welsh, Scots and Irish are better represented than in say Total War.
I can't remember exactly how many provinces but off the top of my head:
Dyfed
Glamorgan
Gwent
Perfeddwlad
Powys
Gwynedd
The 'Dukedoms' these fall under are Deheubath and Gwynedd. You can become King of Wales if you take the lot (sadly not Prince of Wales but that's merely a technical issue in the same way you have English Dukes instead of Earls).
