My missus calls asians 'browns' though I think this is a pan-canadian problem. On holiday she caught a glimpse of something up on a rock and said 'oooooo look a monkey' and it was some Indian fella fishing.

I was watching predator and she looked up as Mac was on screen and asked if 'that was the alien'.

I have got her out of the habit of calling black folks 'coloureds' though so I am educating her slowly.

Depends if it was what I'd term blatant racism or just ignorance. If it was the former I'd like to think I'd spot it before she became my partner, so it's a non issue. If it was the latter I'd try to educate, but it would probably annoy me to the point where she wouldn't be my partner for long.

I really can't respect anyone who is racist, so I'd dump her straight away.

Attraction relies on two people not having conflicts against those values and morals that are important. I remember that from my Psychology A'Level.

Yeah the thing is she was brought up in Calgary, which is not exactly cosmopolitan, to white South African parents so there is some work to do.

There's a big Chinese/Japanese influence over there though and when I asked her if she fancied a 'chinky' one night she was shocked.

My wife hates Moroccans. But then if I was to look for a woman here who didn't hate Moroccans, my choice would be narrowed down to er, Moroccan ones. And then I'd have the problem of her hating Spaniards.

My wife isnt a racist in anyway, makes sarcy comments at the TV about thingd happening to foreign people who come into the country and get treat better then most nationals, but thats not being racist its just stating the obvious.

On the other paddle there is me, i make racist jokes all the time, i also make jokes about fat people, and oh yeah im a little portly myself! Make jokes about myself and pleanty of other things. But thats just humour and there is nothing more than that in it.

Have friends of many races and colours. Went to college with them and still keep in touch.

MY wife doesnt think the jokes i tell are funny, but she knows there is no hate in them. So its all good.

Depends on the circumstances and level of racism tbf. Wouldn't be as simple as just dumping someone straight away who you've really got to know.
