Yeh Gerrard should of scored but so should of Richards when he missed ball completly.
Gerrard shouldn't get the blame imo but he aint at his best because he is not 100% fit (the toe injury) him and Terry need to completly recover from their injuries before they think that they are good enough still at 70-80%.
I know Terry never played but just to make a point.

Arise, comrades! England v Estonia & Russia v England *match spoilers, and McClaren turning out to be not that bad after all* Post #892
we were so defensive minded when we came out for the second half that we were just going to hold on to what we had after a great first half (result more than performance still)
and as soon as we conceded the first after they had a little pressure we were never gonna score or even get back into the attacking mind set where we would even create chances.

could you possibly have crammed more cliched crap into one post????
it's only cliched cos it happens every year. something original like "OMG England football prove everyone wrong and show character and bottle" would be nice.
Anyway, I'm off now.

Said from the start i wanted best man for the job not an englishman, now hopefully the fa can use this as an excuse to actually do what they should have done first time round and appoint a coach on merit not just because of his nationality.

I was on the Crouch 'bandwagon' 5minutes before he came on tbh. His introduction meant we were just going to hoof it. Hes a half decent player when we don't just hoof the ball to him, so like i said ,as a target man, the 3 big defenders would have done a better job imo.
So surely you were more on about the perceived tactics we'd employ rather than the player then?
Baffled.
