Well from where I was sat I observed the following, and this is without reading through any comments on the game:
Joe Cole still plays football like he's playing in the park, all show and no end product. The amount of times he gave away possesion was ridiculous, as was the case with SWP.
Yeh, he generally links up with Micah well, but the goal aside, all his passes were astray and he wasn't getting on the end of any of Micah's balls.
Robinson looked shaky again. It must be a confidence thing, and I do feel for him because everytime Estonia had any sort of shot (not many i know) people held their breath, and he did spill a couple of crosses. Isn't it something like 3 clean sheets in 37 for Spurs? Doesn't bode well.
Rio and Sol looked comfortable, wouldn't have expected anything less. Lescott looked a bit shaky when on, but it was his debut so I can understand the nerves. Putting him at LB was a joke, but I'll get to that.
Sorry for Ashley because up until that point he'd played well (as had Richards on the other side), hope he's ok for the Russia game, regardless of peoples opinions (which do match my own btw), he's still the best left back we've got.
Barry let a few passes astray, and I could see him struggling against bigger teams. Gerrard never had much time on the ball but when he did at least he was looking for a final ball, even if the majority didn't come off.
Owen still doesn't look sharp, and I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever have him fully fit again tbh. Rooney tries his hardest, but he just doesn't fit into this system. He can be consistent for United, but he can't play in a straight 442, odd moment of brilliance yeh but no continuity.
All in all, result aside, I thought it was a terrible performance. We got lucky with 2 goals, yet we never looked like scoring more (apart from Coles chance at the end). It annoys me, because at 3-0 we had nothing to lose, why couldn't we just be all out attack, why rest on our laurels? Just need to look at Germany against San Marino, and even France today to realise that we can't put teams away.
Mclowns tactics were all wrong, and
imo the booing wasn't for Frank this time, it was for a completely negative substitution. We had 2 strikers on the bench, and go 451. At home. To Estonia......
Lescott at LB when Neville came on was a joke. Fair enough, Neville isn't a LB, but he's more versatile there than Lescott is ffs. He looked completely bemused and didn't know when to stay and go.
But at the end of the day, results what matters I suppose. Got to be my longest post ever

And breathe....
Oh, and my team for Wednesday:
