You think Foster (who i rate highly) coming back as United's reserve keeper, will put more pressure on McClaren when he's ignoring the likes of Green and Carson playing well week in, week out?

Shame Foster got injured. I wouldnt have been suprised to see him start the season as Uniteds first choice and then McClaren strikes me as someone who would have him straight in as England #1 on the back of that.
Still why he is sticking with Robinson over ever other English keeper in the league i dont know.

Nice move by Joe Cole there. Almost Brazil-like. |

Personally id have James in there now until Foster is playing week in week out.
However, Foster is the next big thing in the eyes of many and therefore Mclaren can justify dropping Robinson for the 'future' without too many eyebrows being raised.
If James were to go in now, play crap, and as a result Robinson were to be recalled then Mclaren would appear useless.
Doing nothing at the moment is the easier decision for him, and the easiest person for him to replace Robinson with is Foster.

...or put Lescott at left back, I'm sure he's played there before fairly often.
