A draw in Wales and we have 3rd as far as I can make out.

Really poor game by Sweden tonight. Quite a shame that when we needed another goal at 1-1 we had already taken Wilhelmsson (Injured) and Elmander off, and Ljungberg felt an old injury during the warmup (What a surprise!).
So instead of those we had Mikael Nilsson, Marcus Allbäck and Kim Källström (On the left side of midfield to boot). Bah.
Anyway, we didn't deserve more than one point tonight, hardly even that. Seems like just like we're Englands bogey team (Or one of them anyway), N.I are ours. We just can't get anything going it seems.
Still, we just need one point from our remaining games, which are Latvia (H) and Spain (A). I think we can achieve that And even if we don't, N.I or Denmark need to win both their remaining games in order to pass us.
Nice to see Liechtenstein get a win. 7 points in this campaign is a real improvement. Luxembourg and Malta both have wins as well. They obviously have a long way to go to actually be competitive, but they're moving in the right direction.

Now maybe people won't laugh when I tell them Kyle Lafferty could turn into a great player.

Steve Staunton's reign as Irish manager is expected to come to an end over the weekend with an emergency meeting of the FAI's board.
The pressure for the manager's exit has intensified since Wednesday's humiliating 1-1 draw with Cyprus in Croke Park.
Speaking to RTÉ last night the Association's Chief Executive John Delaney moved to distance himself personally from Staunton's appointment, pointing out that a three man committee had been handed the responsibility.
Staunton has long been seen as Delaney's man, but the FAI chief said: 'In the process of Stan's appointment, the board of the FAI, ten people, asked three people to go and do a job.
'We went and we did a job and came back with a recommendation which was ratified by the board. Any key appointment or any key change in football will be made by the board and not by John Delaney.
'I would not see the appointment of Steve Staunton and Bobby Robson as the management team as much of a gamble.'
Staunton still has two years to run on his four year contract but the manner in which Ireland have failed to qualify for the Euro 2008 Championships seems to have signalled the end.

Please happen, and then 5 minutes later, let Delaney get hit by a train, pleassse
