Seems she was saved by the lunacy of a lone fanatic or splinter group. The first bomb was actually a hand grenade, which of course meant she got under cover. This must've really annoyed the official bomber, as when he sparked up his 20kg suicide vest everyone important was hidden in the armoured truck. Still, I think he still got his point across.
