tbf I'd be amazed to see her alive for long enough to be elected. Both her and Zardari reckon there's ISI involvement (albeit 'unapproved') in these threats and attacks, and if she will insist on mass rallies and well publicised processions across relatively lawless citys then it's no great leap of imagination to think that similar attacks are going to be carried out, given the current state of security forces in the country.
Apparently she was basically saved this time by going to the bathroom.
She'll be doing well to last long, indeed. Isn't Karachi her main support base and where her popularity is highest?

ok i'm a n00b on pakistani politics, why does everyone want to kill this woman? i'd google her, but i don't want a rubbish and sanitised wikipedia bio ta.
So you'd settle for a Bert Prest OTF version? Wonderful way to get in touch with the wider world of Pakistani politics.
There was a good article from the Sydney Morning Herald a few months back, containing both a biography and interview (this was before she returned to Pakistan) , but its no longer available for free on the internet.
"Although the government is ostensibly allowing Bhutto to return, Musharraf requested her to delay her arrival - she refused - and warned her that she may be the target of a suicide attack. Bhutto has scoffed at such warnings with, "I do not believe that any true Muslim would attack me because I am a woman and Islam forbids attacks against women. Secondly Islam forbids suicide.""
