In short, on the 29th October I shall be making my first attempt at a marathon, by doing the Dublin Marathon. I'm doing so in order to raise funds for Diabetes UK, which is a charity very close to me as I have been diabetic since I was 3 years old.

Was considering doing this myself but heard about it slightly too late to do anything about it.

Highlight is that you'll run right past Dalymount Park (the Spiritual Home of Irish Football)

I don't fundraise for 10ks anymore, plus I need to give myself more a challenge.
Always wanted to go to Dublin so thought why not combine the two and people are more likely to sponsor a marathon than a 10k. Am getting worried about it now though, did the Bristol hlaf marathon on Sunday and it almost killed me, so a lot more training needs to be done between now and the end of October!
