Touch typing ? You re-training as secretaries ?
| At the moment we input prescriptions using just the numeric keys. Now tho its changed so we use both letters and numbers.
The training is more learning the software

Easiest data entry job i've seen though really, usually asking for 50wpm upwards.
| I dont know why they want to get up to a certain wmp count, as the job isnt based on how many words you can type.

think it's more a case of getting your typing speed up, whether it's numbers or letters if you are competent at touch typing you are doing it quicker and more accurately.

I don't touch-type (basically I use 2 fingers on each hand) and I surpass that requirement with ease. I assume 30wpm corresponds to 150 characters/minute? I'm probably doing around 320-350 with 98% accuracy with my "inferior" typing so I consider the necessity of touch typing very low. I have in the past been around 180-200 using only one finger on each hand. |

I don't type correctly at all, or rather I suppose I do with my left hand but with my right hand I pretty much only use two fingers (Well, three if you count the pinky which I only use for backspace/enter). Doesn't stop me from being able to touch type though. Can get up to 85 wpm or so when I make an effort, but I don't think I could keep that speed up consistently.

Just had a quick go and got 38wmp and 88% accuracy. But that accuracy was only due to me not putting capital letters in which i didnt know you had to.
Easier than i thought

Had a 2 hour session today. Gave up trying to touch type as i can key faster using my normal method. Seemed a waste of time really to anyone with a decent typing speed, but got me out of work for abit
Managed 33wmp and 92% accuracy but should improve
