Cajun spice marinated chicken with button mushrooms and red onion in a cajun sauce, with pasta

I'm an awesome cook.

Really? How'd that turn out? </BLOCKQUOTE>

without the bacon, it was slightly one dimensional but still pretty amazing. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Sounded like an odd contrast in textures: crispy bacon, chewy date.

Cod and chips with cous cous, the 'batter' made myself (breadcrumbs, chopped tomatoes, grated cheese, a little coriander, salt + pepper and some olive oil to hold it together).

bacon is uber-fashionable right now in desserts. one I'm pretty sure I've described on here before is made by a dude named gabe rucker at le pigeon - one of food and wine's 10 best young chefs of 2007.

get this: apricot cornbread topped with a scoop of maple ice cream with sprinkles of diced caramelized bacon. simply incredible.
