I had peppers, onion, lettuce, tuna chopped and mixed with mayo. Some boiled potatos with grated cheese melted on top. I make it about once a week to get rid of some stuff from my fridge.
Cooked up some pasta with roma tomatoes, white wine, garlic and herbs. Needed to use the tomatoes as they were getting a bit old and didn't want to do anything too fancy as I'd been at work until 8.
Rehearsal tonight, so I'm likely to grab some fast food rubbish on the way from work.
I like to cook, but just never have enough time . Might try to find the motivation to cook a roast this weekend.
so this spring I bought a full flat of strawberries and made about 3 quarts of strawberry freezer jam, which I've slowly been working my way through.
this weekend is the local harvest fest in apple country. I'm thinking of buying 20 or 30 pounds worth of apples and messing around with them. definitely going to try to make some apple butter. maybe some apple pie/tart filling or some homemade apple cider. should be fun. between the apples and strawberries, this winter should be nearly tolerable.
My sister made some nice, thin pizza bases and we had 3 kinds of 'za:
rosemary and thinly sliced kipfler potateos with a hummus base;
feta, olive and prosciutto with a finely diced tomato base; and
nashi pear and gorgonzola finished with a bit of rocket (I think it's aragula in America, maybe England too?) dressed with some lemon juice and olive oil.
Yeah, it was really good, especially with a nice Kalimna Shiraz that was knocking about under the stairs \o/
