I've taken it back. The only AM2 board in the shop was a ASUS M2NBP-VM CSM so fingers crossed.

Triple post alert, but just managed to compelte the COD4 demo with no freezing\stuttering.

Don't buy an ASUS M2N-MX SE is my advice :thup:

Doesn't sound like a RAM issue to me. When you say you are running games at 800x600, are you also using 'low' detail settings? Could also be a gfx card drivers issue.
