I'm agnostic, but I came very close to becoming Christian in my teens while reading the Bible and suffering from depression. Laziness won out in the end though. Well, that and the inability to make the leap.

Why would I pray to something I don't believe in? And making a leap of faith isn't a choice. </BLOCKQUOTE>
I believe in another life form, but theres no evidence to say there is? Its similar to your problem.. and you can choose to become a Christian. </BLOCKQUOTE>
No it isn't, and it isn't a problem. And who 'chooses' to believe in God?

Location: Europe. Munich, Germany at the moment.
Religion: none. Not christened either.
Religion in the area where I grew up and around here as well: Roman Catholic.
I am a convinced atheist, as in: convinced by overwhelming lack of evidence as to the existance of a god, that there is no such thing as a god/creative intelligence/force/whatever people tag it as.
Don't take me for agnostic. I don't sit on the fence, I leave no room for doubt about the non-existance of a/any god, until something comes along that could falsify that assumption. Which means I don't believe in the non-existance of something, it means that I approach this like I would approach any theory: when evidence is brought forward to support it, I may change my mind.
It would have to be strong evidence, though. Despite aeons of religious oppression (and the inherant bending of science to its benefice), no evidence whatsoever has occurred that would make it seem near likely that there is a god.
I stress: none, whatsoever.
Any real discussion about this subject invariably ends in religious people having to withdraw their god into a theoretical unknown part of reality, without perceivable past, present or future interaction with that reality whatsoever.
And that's theoretical religion. Applied religion, I can't loathe it enough. Corruption, oppression, hypocrisy, hate and greed are the common denominators of religious organisations.
