In 'options' there should be something you can untick to stop the mail client blocking you from opening attached files.

How do you equate that to Is there anyway of opening an email attachment that isnot highlighted?

Id understand it if he stated that he couldnt open attachments, but his OP just doesnt make sense.

He read the email, thus it was no longer highlighted, but now he can't open the attachment. Simple imo.

Well, if you receive an attachment and the settings are that you can't open it without fiddling in the settings then the attachment name is in feint text as opposed to the normal bold text.

Froma techinical standpoint, please expand on what your actual understanding and resloution of this issue is.

Because it seems it's confused quite a few of the more experienced IT guys on these forums.
