Hello all,

I have recently purchased a .net domain for 2 years with 1and1

I then took up an offer on a website £1 hosting for a whole year.. with strato-hosting

One problem I've noticed since is that the host has no mention of dns hosting on their website and they mention domain transferring..

I've asked to transfer the domain to the hosts (it's free aparently) and strato hosting have sent me a form to fill in.. the wording of the form has struck me as oddd. It says

Cancellation of the Domain www.___________________ and Transfer to STRATO AG

By cancellation does this mean that I will have wasted x amount of money buying the domain in first place of will it still expire on the original date it was going to expire with 1and1?

Ummm that seems a bit odd. I think all is needed is for Strato to give you their nameservers, and then you update them, and tell them what the domain name is. I may be wrong though.

I thought so.. I've googled and can't find a mention of strato hosting name servers, just two ip numbers. I think I'll email them and ask for them
