They may know less about climbing trees, playing jacks and playing kicky the can, but they certainly do know more about death, murder, rape, sex, violence, terrorism, and suffering.

Nothing wrong with playing war but their parents should tell them that it's wrong to imitate Taliban fighters in such a negative fashion, and stop them using words like the aforementioned one.

Yeah, they need to be taught the truth about these brave and noble warriors of islam. Maybe show how they rock up to schools and cut the female teacher's throat in front of the class or something?

Life is all about perspective.
From our perspective, yes, they are evil terrorists. But these children don't know anything about them, apart from the fact that they are men with turbans carrying AK47's shooting civilians. Or so they think.
They need to be taught not to slag someone or something off just because of about 2 minutes of video clip they've seen or what the kid in the playground says.

They don't really realize the full impact of their actions but there should be some sort of punishment just to hammer the message home they did wrong. It is wrong just letting them go back to school the next day and pretending everything is normal. They did an adult crime and while they shouldn't get the length of punishment of an adult but they should spend a year or two in some sort of special place for extreme kids. This would also serve the purpose of getting away from some of the torment which will inevitably aimed at them by kids and adults.
