I dont get why being deaf would mean you have a poor grasp of the languages written form. I could be horribly ignorant here, but will risk it imo |

and the one thing I could think up was that you wouldnt be able to hear how words are sounded out and so might possibly spell them wrong, but that wasnt really the issue so np?
