Just heard that you men are in for Caleb Folan. Not sure if it is a loan or perminant that you want to take him

Interesting preview, expecting us to field a very different team. Youngster Nicky Featherstone will probably start. Steve McPhee too. Barmby out with another lengthy injury.

Bryan Hughes was rather poor opening day against Plymouth and I've only seen him when he came on for 10 minutes or so on Saturday when he had a few decent touches and added some calm when we needed it. Hardly spectacular though sadly.

We had Caleb Folan on loan years ago when we were in the third, he did very little iirc. Pretty certain we're still in for a striker plus one or two others.

As we've been reporting throughout the afternoon, Phil Brown confirmed to KCFM at lunchtime that Hull City ARE interested in Premier League striker Caleb Folan.

The Wigan centre forward has impressed during his six months in the Premiership, and Brown's thought to have made a bid of around the million pound mark - although he wouldn't confirm the fee.

The 25 year old's pulled on the black-and-amber before - making just one appearance in a loan spell six years ago.

However a complication with the deal is Latics' top scorer, Antoine Sibierski, who picked up a knock in their draw at West Ham - and manager Chris Hutchings won't release the ex-Leeds trainee until they know the full extent of the Frenchman's injury.

Meanwhile, Brown has also re-confirmed his interest in Jay Jay Okocha, although it's understood a number of clubs have inquired about the services of the ex-Bolton player.

Would love it if we made 500k on him tbh.

Like someone on your forums said -

"he's great in the air"

"yeah, but so are the red arrows"

I could keep Folan in my pocket tbh. Utter utter awful player.

Well done on the win though. Bit of a fluke of a goal but we were awful beyond belief
