I do count him as a midfielder atm, in terms of that being his best position whilst he is learning how to compete in the premiership but I think ultimately he will end up being a LB. Plus he has played decent enough at LB but has looked immense playing slightly ahead.

if you could choose right now who would you take? Bale

You can quite easily say who is better.

I think the idea was that you used Bale as a midfielder to justify Tottenham's midfield being better than Newcastle's, and now you're using him in the defence argument.

Oh, and i'd agree with the Defoe >> Smith >> Bent fwiw.

thats a very good point. I think my second point was the hes just better than Enrique.

Bent's better than Defoe. Defoe has had countless chances this year and has failed to stick any of them away.

Purvis I reckon you've written 'Beye looks like a CB playing at RB' a hundred times on this forum!

Tbh, I missed the Everton and West Ham games, where I heard he had his better games, so tonight will be one of the better one's to judge.

I've been quietly impressed with our defenders this year, but I think years of being fed scraps from Titus, O'Brien and company means maybe I'm easily impressed.

Also think Spurs are giving Bent the ultimate raw deal, they really are amazingly good at treating strikers like absolute crap. Raziak, Mido, Zamora and now Bent, all of whom get little first team football but lots of grief.

Just give them a bloody chance! Then after years of torment and frustrations cough*Ameobi*cough, then you can get on their backs!

Agreed

Ameobi I hope will be sold in the summer unless he can turn it around this season.
Tbh I'd rather we got rid of him and kept Le Sib.

thats a pretty poor statement. Zamora looked poor, only one game vs Liverpool did he look decent and still not really done much to prove otherwise so far. Rasiak was gash and Mido suffered with a lot of injuries in his last season.

The only reason we signed Bent imo is because when Berbatov leaves next season then we have got a replacement.
