well hold on there, if for instance our first 10 games were against last seasons top 10, excluding us. and your first 10 games were against the bottom 10 teams of last year then it wouldn't exactly be a fair representation of where we would be at this point.
So in conclusion a table can lie, up until the very last game has been played.
We are better than you though, only Midfield is where I think you are close, obviously a better goalkeeper.
What I said was firmly tongue in cheek tbh. They say football is a matter of opinions, and to be honest there are very few players I'd take from you lot to be better than ours. Bale's looked like he's made the step-up in class and Berbatov still looks quality when he looks interested.
No-one else really stands out. Lennon is totally over-rated and Chimbonda has had a really poor season so far, the rest are all about the same or worse IMO. King has had too many fitness problems and needs to prove himself as much as Owen does to us and the rest of your defence is nothing to be in awe of. Should (referee permitting) be a good game.

Newcastle robbed us at WHL last season, one of the worst teams to play us at home last season IMO. They've improved alot this year but we should just about sneak this tonight.

Viduka’s struggling so we might see Martins and Owen playing but if Viduka makes it I’d expect him and Owen to start. If Owen or Martins is on the bench I’d expect them to come on at some point.

Martins needs to start IMO.
He needs a team like Spurs with a defense like a sieve to score some goals against. Tbh I really could see Spurs struggling to contain him, yes his chance conversion is a bit gash, but if one of Emre or Barton starts I really can see us creating a lot of chances and him putting one or two of them past Dawson and co.
Harper to start in goal please too.

I don't want to get into this arguement but I would take our strikers over yours. Our midfield over yours which includes Bale as a midfielder. Plus I would take our defenders over yours.
we're a better team 2-11 but I would say you have a better manager and keeper, thats it really.

Strikers;
Martins, Owen, Smith, Viduka, Ameobi, Defoe, Berbatov, Keane, Bent
Berbs > Owen > Keane > Viduka > Martins > Defoe > Smith > Bent > Ameobi tbh.

I’d rather start with Owen and bring Martins on in the second half when we’re either in front and looking to counter or chasing a lead and his pace can hurt a tired defence.
As I said there’s always the chance Viduka might not make it and we can play both of them. If that happens we need to make sure we have good passing midfielders since we’ll need to play the ball on the ground. Would probably mean leaving Butt out of the side.
Hopefully Emre will be in the right kind of mood tonight. Can be awesome when he wants to be but doesn’t do it enough and it will probably be cold tonight.
Barton will most likely come on at some point, although when he does will probably depend on the scoreline. A half hour run out would be great but I don’t want to see him come on for the sake of it.
Still think Given should start in goal. Harper was unlucky to be dropped but Given’s still a different class to Harper.

Keane has been better than Owen has the last 3 seasons, if your taking Owen's Liverpool days then maybe but Keane hit 23 goals last year and has 8 already.
