You should let it dry for a few days to a few weeks. I drowned a pda in beer and gave it up for dead after it wouldnt work after a week of drying.
a month later, just plugged it in to confirm its demise and to dispose of and its worked ever since.

Oh man the volume is working again now - just the battery - so close.....i could cry.
The drive back from the airport is going to suck without my ipod - bloody radio.

| Lots of positive things. Determined to get it working now. I cant believe its fully functioning after a full wash on 30 degrees.
Come on battery work damn it work. Can you get replacement batteries? And who would fit them?

An apple replacement, although they dont really replace the battery but give you a new re-serviced ipod costs about $70 or about £40.. http://www.apple.com/batteries/replacements.html | |

heh i dropped my phone in my ribena yesterday morning. was totally gutted as it died in my hands.
anyway, i put it in a towel and on the radiator for about 30 mins then onto a window legde above the radiator in the sun for the rest of the day. bit by bit the functions came back. works totally fine now (Y). hope you are as lucky with your ipod.
