It is still playing perfectly and all the functions work but I dont think its charging

Buy earphones with a volume control, you'll be able to turn it down independent of the player itself.

On the subject of the iPod touch, it's awesome. Lad at work had one on Saturday, very impressive. Full wi-fi web access (I don't know if thats normal these days? ), was browsing otf while watching scrubs :thup:

UPDATE:

Sad update gentlemen. My ipod is slowly dying (sheds tear). Its life force is slowly fading as the battery runs out. Its refusing to charge now

Will let it dry out for a few days and then try and jump start it.

But for now RIP my ipod

put the radiator on and hang a towel over it. then put the ipod ontop of the towel and leave for a couple of hours.
