Actually I can never forget sitting at Edinburgh train station and getting told all about the life and times of General Robert E. Lee from some old drunken bum |

You can get one of those bicycle ride thingys who’ll conveniently drop you off at the lapdancing joint and take you back to the centre afterwards.

When I went to Edinburgh last time, I took a history tour and we were at a bit where the bloke was talking about John Knox. Out of nowhere this p1ssed Scotsman comes out of nowhere and launches into a tirade about how much trouble Mr Knox caused the Scottish nation. It was quite entertaining |

Yes, we've gone for a B&B Townhouse. Looks ok and as the locals have said, the quality of B&B's in Edinburgh is pretty darned good generally.
The last couple of times I've been, I've just picked a random B&B and they were very good. I'm not too fussy anyway, as long as I've got en suite bathroom and it's clean I'm happy.

| It says a 20 minute walk to the Royal Mile - which going by previous experience means 5-10 minutes for me. Having said that, my girlfriend is only 5'1" so she'll slow me down.
I haven't forgotten you Kym

| It really depends tbh. The more expensive areas tend to all be class because they have to rely on returning trade, as the running costs are so high. Whereas hotels at the East End, Leith and Leith Links tend to be hovels. They can be as most of those places are used by the prozzies etc.
