Really good effort with the sarcasm.

Your team will not perform well if they have no passion, so if you don't give a **** about it, you should, as it relates to what do give a **** about. </BLOCKQUOTE>that's stupid.

Yeah, I'm pretty dim, so you will have to put that in simpler terms if I'm to understand. </BLOCKQUOTE>I messed up my previous post.

"Lack of passion" is an easy catch-all complaint for fans who are upset with the way their team are performing but can't explain why they're performing that badly.

bleh.

Most of the time people complaining about the lack of passion are glossing over the actual problems within their team which are usually far more complicated to explain. "OMG NO PASSION!" is a simple and easy criticism to lob at people who are paid a lot more than you are. It's also wrong almost all of the time.

The English football team could all get matching Three Lion's tattoos and roar the national anthem. It won't turn them into more technically proficient footballers playing with a coherent tactical system with a solid goalkeeper and a healthy frontline.

Point one, refer to AJ's reply.

Point two is true.

Point three, if you're calling for video replays to be used in football then you need doing away with. I might deem goalline decisions to be acceptable but it just wouldn't work as the game doesn't stop if it's not a goal.

Point four is also ridiculous considering the whole game of Rugby is centred around beating the crap out of eachother. You can't exactly dive in a rugby match so why would the players do it anyway? If there was as much advantage to be gained by diving in rugby as there is in football than you'd see Chabal turning into Drogba overnight.

2.

The Ref - The respect the ref got from the players was really good to see.

Players still had a moan about certain things but not for sustained periods, he had good control of the game and the players did what they were told, Rugby players seem to accept the ref won't change his mind!

3.

Video replays - There was a big decision to be made with the "Try" that wasn't given and it took maybe a minute or two for the video replay to confirm that his foot did in fact touch the line before the ball touched the floor.

How many football clubs have been screwed over because of so many close calls for whatever reason, all of which could have been prevented with the delay of play for a minute or two so someone with the benefit of a replay can relay what actually happened back to the ref if he's not 100% sure straight away?

4.

Although I was already aware of this, most football plyers really are pu**** and should be ashamed, grown men falling over and rolling around 4 or 5 times after the slightest brush of nothing.

I hope they saw the Rugby players out there tonight beating the living **** out of each other and still getting up, running around working their backsides off trying to win and I hope they realise how weak it makes them look, they won't but one can only endevour to hope, Rugby players are true men.

I don't usually start threads but I had to have a rant - rant over.
1. England lost, so whats the difference? You just want the players to sing the anthem before a match and have a good cry together after it?

2. As proven by todays games, you can influence football refs and they will change their mind.

3. Wow, only two minutes. How about we dont have replays and let the refs do what they are paid to do. Why take all the fun out of everything? One decision doesnt msake or break a season, 38 games do.

4. Yeah all players are big girls and they should go around bashing the crap out of each other. Oh hang on thats a red card offence.

5. Please stick to your rugby and dont start threads.
