me too, just postulating what Fergie could be thinking. Maybe it was close enough to home that his family was there, so Fergie promised him they'd get to see him play. I really don't know.

now, i love superfletch <STRIKE>as much as</STRIKE> more than anyone, but saying he was excellent tonight really stretching the friendship. solid and understated a far more apt description of his performance.

as for o'shea... he was kiev's best player ffs. hideously awful tonight in a team that absolutely cruised.

quite why he singled that pair out is a bit of a mystery tbh.

probably to give them a confidence boost and so that when he drops them for the boro game they don't start looking for a move elsewhere because they think Fergie thinks they're crap.

Plus what he says in private and in public I'm sure are quite different.
