LMAO. There's probably at least a hundred fires a year here in Montana, with probably 5 or 6 getting up to at least 20,000 acres in size. Like some random Muslim with a lighter is going to make a difference there.

When I was in Cali they were worrying about the trend of building houses that have little impact on the landscape so you have wooden houses built amongst trees. Everyone saying a big fire would **** them all over but environmentalists against sticking fire breaks between as it'd involve cutting down trees and an urbanisation of the area.

IIRC, homeowners here can receive government grants to build "defensible space", which is basically clearing all trees for about 500 feet around your house.
