FIFA Rankings
Scotland up to 13th, just two places behind England who have dropped to 9th after their defeat to Russia.
Looks like Scotland will be amongst the second seeds when qualifying for the World Cup, which is good.

Are the World Cup qualifying seedings based on rankings then? Always assumed that it was past performance in the qualifiers or something.

Aside from qualification I guess a Scots victory over Italy would have the added bonus of pushing them above England?
