| Nice one, are the woman in Living room etc actually pullable or just there to boost their ego? BTW, where's decent on Thursday and Friday? Heard a few people mention its very quiet...

Wouldn’t say you could talk to women in Apartment or the Living Room. Seem to be really good looking but incredibly stuck up.
Bar Luga usually alright and Poppolo’s (sp) is decent enough (sells cocktails so you get plenty of women there).
Head of Steam a good call. If you like that might want to try out the Forth as well. Telegraph can be hit or miss.

Pig and Whistle has always been really dodgy - I ventured in there a few times during the early days of the 90's (I was 18 at the time :o )
Osbourne Road in Jesmond is normally a very good night out, but it might be a bit out of the way. Would require a taxi journey. However it is worth it - no aggro and teeming with quality fluff. |

Forgot about Osbourne Road, that's good. And The Forth, and the Telegraph, and the Centurion, though none of those are a patch on the Steama. Ouseburn Valley crawl followed by Steama is pretty much my stock night out.
As far as these stuck-up women are concerned, I think it depends who you are and how you approach them. I suspect many of them are of the mindset that, having come for a night out with their friends, they don't want to be constantly molested by strangers, and I think they have the right idea. If they wanted to participate in a cattle market, they wouldn't be in the Living Room in the first place, they'd be in some sh!thole in the Bigg Market.
Am I the only one who tends to meet women socially, rather than by stalking them in bars?

Have never been one for chatting up lasses in bars, in the past Ceefax. Am no shark. Some lads seem to take to it like a duck to water. I've always been more concerned with having a laugh with the lads, whilst indulging in some window shopping. |

Basically what everyone else said - Bigg Maket you have Blue Bambu, The Vault etc, more chavs
The Gate - I reckon its ok there, cheap duing the week bt gets expensive on sat & sun. There you have LLoyds, Mood & Players.
New Liquid - Never been but the security lad from work is head bouncer there too and he said theres a good atmosphere, also head good reports from friends.
Osbourne Road is good but a bit more expensive and requires a taxi.
Neil - I didnt think you were that much older than me & im nerly 21. I thought BG was one of the older members from newcastle (no offense BG) |

Is it typical to have one venue with several different clubs/bars in it? Like some kind of late night shopping centre?
This is a new concept for me....
(I'm presuming Big Market and The Gate are venues??)

The Bigg Market is just a street.
The Gate and Tiger Tiger are multiplex-ish things, right next to each other. Tiger Tiger is concerned only with drinking, whereas the Gate is a cinema with bars, restaurants etc attached. Sounds great, I know, but it's packed with cnuts.

| Thats ****ing crazy. That's completely alien where I come from (Dublin). Whats the atmosphere like in these "multiplex's"?? I cant get shopping centre with bars or multiplex bowling alley out of my head... Can you smoke there?

How do you feel an Irish accent will go down with the opposite sex? Is the reputation of it being a violent place at the weekend justified? I know nowhere is totally safe, but Newcastle has a bit of a rep for getting a little hairy about 3:00am on a Friday..
| i walked about ****ed singing Keano songs and nobody said owt to me, they are soft as *****
