Rep Power: 0 | What are the best places to go out around Newcastle?
A few places that you could go to are (depends what you are interested in):
Tiger Tiger - a bit of a posers bar, but theres laods of different clubs inside the place.
Sam Jacks
The Gate is has places like Beyond (R'n'B), Players and also a few eating places (Wokmania).
City Vaults
Coco V's (can be expensive for drinks though). Is what Freddie Sheppard said about the woman true?
I wouldn't say so, but depends which part you go to. Generally, they are fine and there loads of students about atm (including me). Is the reputation of it being a violent place at the weekend justified?
It can kick off in a few pubs/clubs/bars but the bouncers are usually on the scene straight away.
Friday is quite quiet compared to a Saturday.

| Which is what I thought.
I'm as Southern as it gets, and besides some friendly p1ss taking from some locals (which naturally is reciprocated) I've never had a problem in Newcastle at all.
Not been there for quite a while mind you.

Sorry, didn't mean it like that. Was more of a "Ahh, how long you here for, you having a good time" type of thing. |

Just to clarify, there will be 5 of us, I'm 25 and the youngest, the other's range from 28-32. Not particularly after stag/hen night type places, but a few decent bars/clubs that are fun and with decent woman.
Lads seem to think Newcastle is damage ville, so really not sure where they'll be taking us. Seeing as how they sometimes like Temple Bar in Dublin I can image it will be whatever Newcastle's equivilent is, and apparently we're staying right in the centre of the action so...

It is an actual bar, but you really, really don't want to go there.

If you want to gaze at attractive women and ALSO be able to speak to them, but are not afraid to spend £50 on a round of drinks, try the Apartment or the Living Room. For a halfway house between that and normality, try Revolution.
For a wholesome pi$$up with a good chance of ending up mates with the people at the next table, try the Trent House or the Head of Steam.
