Forever eating out-of-date food as my dad buys it all latenight from the supermarket in huge quantities. Rarely off even four of five days after its date, but I'm more cautious with meat, milk and yoghurts.

Biscuits though, "14 days out of date" - they'd still be edible a year out of date. And "no receipt"? Were you going to exchange them for a fresh pack of biscuits?

I could just eat an out of date sausage roll. It'd give me a better excuse to go home from work early than my nasty hangover.

Well yes, that's because the use by date is to be used together with the storage instructions on food.

and this man is going to cambridge..
