Yes and no. Stuff will always go missing, in any company. Royal Mail prosecutes thieves, there are cameras in the sorting offices, walkways above the areas for people to watch if they suspect someone of thieving. That said, it does happen! Also must add that I've lost count of the times I've got a pile of boxes from somewhere and found a letter dated 3 weeks ago in the middle or something, so it's not always thievery or stuff getting lost or whatever.

just because the company say they posted it at the same time odesn't mean they did. they could have missed it when sending all the items out.

even if they did there's no guarnatee that it would make the same royal mail truck out when it gets sorted up at the sorting office.

What actually happened to all them letters posted during the strike?

My sister had one of those electoral forms things to fill in and send back (using a prepaid envelope). It was posted during the strike, and a guy today gave them a letter saying they never recieved it, and will be fined £1000 if they dont return it within 7 days.

Was at the sorting office today to pick up my copy of PES2008. The guy in front of me was told that his letter wasn't there and that it could be a couple of weeks before they get things back to normal due to the strikes.

I'd suggest your sister points out that it was posted, but that she is not aware of what has happened to it due to the strikes.

If that doesn't work and they still fine her, I'd take the Royal Mail to court.

They gave her another copy of the letter so shes posted it again. Hopefully this time it will get through.

I finally received the 4 gig card for my phone that was supposed to arrive 10 days ago, despite the strike from Amazon. Workshy bastards.

Still no sign of the new cases for my phone though.
