I expect Jags to be at right back and probably Anichebe up front in place of Faddy.
| Jags' at right-back would make sense, either he or Neville. I think I'd give Jags another chance in defensive midfield and ask Neville to get forward and attack on the right. Obviously Hibbert is very, very poor on the ball and with the amount of time he'd get on the ball, probably not the best bet.
As for Vic, again, ideally I'd like him to start as he and Yak seem like that they could be a very good partnership with Vic playing the target man foil for Yak, but I think after a long hard game against the dark side, he may be a little tired for this. Anyway, Faddy deserves ago, and in Europe, at home, I'd hope he could get his foot on the ball alongside Leon/King Mikel and El Predator. I know it didn't work too well against the Mentalists, but we're at home and will be expected to attack without being so under the cosh, so I'd hope it'd work more..fruitfully.
...and if that doesn't work, I'd bring on Tim and move Arteta to the holding role so he can put his foot on the ball and start spraying passes around.

larisa will be fairly confident coming into this game against a ''less-difficult'' team than blackburn.
2-0 to larisa imo.

Oh and since I have read teh opening post...
If you think Everton is hoofing the ball forward, you should see us with Bakayoko upfront. I really feel sorry for anyone going to watch the game from the ground |

You'll probably shoot me down as you usually do with my line ups.
But i'd play
GK: Howard
RB: Jags
LB: Baines
CB: Yobo
CB: Lescott
LW: Faddy
RW: Pinaar
CM: Ozzie
CM: Arteta
CF: Yak
CF: Vic
As Faddy does quite well for Scotland cutting in from the left and shooting. Plus Arteta again i think plays better when he's got space in the centre to work his magic.

That's 'cheap' for Everton-standards?
They're 20 Euro's for us (We also play Larissa at home). We have to pay 22 euro's for the game against you guys..........
I thought it pretty steep for a UEFA Cup Group phase game.... |

| The thing is, King Mikel doesn't get that space in EPL in the center, hence why Moyes moved him out wide. On the other hand, in Europe he's far more likely to get away with it, and tbh, we simply cannot get away with playing central midfielders who just cannot play football in Europe, we need people who can do something. Faddy I'm unsure of on the left-wing...he's never been convincing there for me, and I think it restricts him too much. I'd be tempted to play Pienaar in the center as well, with King Mikel as they both like to get stuck in, and are originally both center-mids, but alas, that leaves us too light on the wings so at least one of them has to go wide.
Anyway, Moyes won't come close to playing either of our teams, so we'll see |
