Just got a new bank account, new card etc...Pin number hasn't come through yet as it takes a couple of days. I can withdraw money from inside the bank but can't use ATM's yet.
I have ordered a couple of things online using my card and that is fine...
Now then, I was wondering if it is possible to pay on my card for something instore. As I don't have my pin I would have to use the old fashioned signature method but I wasn't sure whether they still do that?
It's not a big deal I was just wondering whether it is possible?

They don't have to, and rightly so. They'd be opening themselves up to potential fraud if they did. I'm sure some places might choose to, however, so i'm sure it's worth a go if you need to.
I was in morrisons recently and i assume the whole network was down, as none of the readers were working. They got out a load of the old manual swipe machines that use carbon paper. It was like going back in time

My thoughts exactly, due to fraud issues they probably won't allow it. I probably won't need to anyway, was just wondering
